A Sweet Book About Love And Adoption
This is a very short book of 95 words written by Hoda Kotb, an American broadcast journalist, TV personality, and the main co-anchor of the NBC News morning show Today. It is a lovely book showing beautiful pictures of the love felt between parent and child inspired by Hoda Kotb's adoption of her baby girl, Haley Jo.
What Concerned Me: While this is a beautiful tribute, I am concerned that the short text, much repetitive, won't appeal to that many children. And as a very, itty bitty concern, I'm not sure what relevance the cover has to do with the story.
What I Liked Most: The illustrations are beautiful and the text is touching, especially for those who celebrate adoption.
