Pete jumps out of bed and heads to Grumpy Toads for a "GROOVY playdate." He is sure the day is going to be awesome.
Zoom Zoom Vroom. He pushes Grumpy Toad's blue truck as the toad watches. Then Grumpy Toad begins to whine.
"That truck is MINE! MINE! MINE!"
Rather than argue, since the truck truly is toads, Pete hands it over and begins playing with some blocks. But again toad watches and declares the blocks to be his.
This routine continues until Grumpy Toad is sitting on all of the toys and Pete is feeling the playdate is not awesome after all.
Will the toad ever understand what a groovy playdate is?
What Concerned Me: Of course sharing is a topic most little ones have to learn. And if that's who you're reading this to, a child maybe 3 or under, it's fine. But I found the book to be very generic and not unique or memorable.
What I Liked Most: Sharing is always a good topic for children.
