the OK book by Amy Krouse Rosenthal

- This Book Is More Than OK, It's Great! -

This unique book has short sentences with cute figures created with the letters O and K forming most of the illustrations. The first page states,
“Hi, how are you? I’m OK.”
OK states that trying different things is fun.
“I’m not great at all of them, but I enjoy them just the same.”
OK is turned on its side, upside down, and right side up to show an OK climber. lightning bug catcher, etc.  The text on each page is only a few words and the illustrations are quite simple (see YouTube below), but the message is powerful.

My Thoughts

What Concerned Me:   Nothing

What I Liked Most:  This is a wonderful book for creative children to see what an artist can do with only the letters O and K. But more than that it contains a valuable message that being OK is just fine and may one day lead to finding something you are better than OK doing, or maybe not.

Such a great reminder to engage in life!
