New book: The House of Chicken

I'm so excited! My newest book should be available by the end of this month. It's always fun to actually see your book in print.

I've been involved in a Reading/Math club after school Wednesdays and Fridays. I've done creative writing classes, reading classes and even a class helping the kids write their own picture books, but a math class is what they asked for, so that's what we're doing now. Surprisingly, it has really been fun. We read a book about using math in every day living, then we play some games involving math. The kids seem to really be enjoying it---and so am I.

At the end of the month I speak to a local IRA group. I'm not sure what to expect, but it's always fun to talk about something that you're interested in.

Well, watch for The House of Chicken, and make sure to ask for it at your local book store or library. Volume 2 of The Broom Closet Detectives should be available within the next few months.
