Fox and Raccoon by Lesley-Anne Green

Available June 2018      #Netgalley   #FoxAndRaccoon

Fox and Raccoon live in a quiet corner of Juniper Hollow. They play together every day, but on this day Fox is too busy to come out. So Raccoon decides to help out; he grabs letters off the table and dashes to the post office to mail them for Fox.

When he comes back there is another chore he helps with, then another and another. On his last chore for his friend, he stops to pick wildflowers to share. But he loses track of time and when he returns it is getting late and Fox’s house is dark.

So, what’s going on?

My Thoughts

What Concerned Me:  Though I know this is a children’s book, it didn’t feel right that Raccoon didn’t ask if Fox wanted the letters mailed before rushing them to the post office.

I was a little disappointed that this offered nothing new or original to very similar stories.

What I Liked Most: The last page of text is a good thought to share with children.
