The Case Of The Stinky Stench by Josh Funk

 - There's Something Rotten Going On! -

Inspector Croissant knocks syrup from Northern Vermont over the Taco Bridge as he hurries to tell his uncle Sir French Toast a disturbing message:
“A horrible stench turned a whole shelf to rubble! I’m the last hope, or the fridge will be lost!”
He asks for his uncle's help before they are all cooked, served, and sauced. Lady Pancake joins in the search as they cross Salsa Ravine and head around Mount Everbean. They confront Baron Von Waffle but his area smells splendid. They proceed through Applesauce River until okra informs them that,
“There’s a tale of a stinky red fish who lurks at the bottom of Corn Chowder Lake.”
But alas, the three sleuths discover that it’s just a red herring!

Will this group of detectives find the stench before it’s too late? And if so, will they be able to take care of the problem?

My Thoughts

What Concerned Me: I wasn’t a big fan of the illustrations.

What I Liked Most: This is an imaginative tale with a bit of a surprise ending, at least one I didn't see coming.
