Click, Clack, Peep! by Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin

- What's In That Delivery Crate? -

The animals are all quiet. They are focused on the new arrival that Duck has just picked up from a delivery truck. Inside the barn, the animals gather close around the new delivery, an egg.

Finally . . . crack. A baby duck appears! The animals now yawn, since the excitement is now over as baby duck waddles and plays. But, it seems the peeping by the new arrival isn’t about to stop.

The chickens sing a lullaby, but no sleeping duck. The sheep knit a blanket, but no sleeping duck. Finally, the animals head outside to try to find some peace and quiet from all the peeping.

Duck removes his headphones, places them on Farmer Brown who is resting and grabs Baby Duck.

Oh, oh, is he heading for the tractor with Baby Duck?

My Thoughts

What Concerned Me: Nothing

What I Liked Most: Though a simple book, the illustrations are wonderful, as with all the books in this series. The story is fun with a sweet touch at the end.
